Actually, ND's analysis is an excellent example of how the internet can raise significant issues that are never talked about in the mainstream media. ND has a writing style that pops while hitting hard. I've wanted gawker.com to lose the jokes for a bit and focus on hard-edged, unpopular commentary. There should be more scrutiny about Mayor Bloomberg's cronyism and the fine line between management efficiency and hypercontrol.

But there's another problem with the mayor that is not often raises. It is unseemly to buy a presidential election or a mayorship. It bespeaks the worse possible skewing of our already terrible oligarchic political system. It is worse than lobbyist all-but buying votes.
