@che_leo: I agree! That Wonkette was getting a little unreadable! There is so much real gossip in Washington, and yet Wonkette mostly traffics in fake gossip and giggling at silly photos. I mean, not that I'm against giggling at silly photos on Gawker or anything--but there's something about politics that makes me want to get all earnest and angry and vent. And then you go over to Wonkette and it's like talking with a drunk 12-year old and his slow little brother.

Would Gawker dare launch a new political website or is there a clause in the Wonkette sale against that? Something fun but more earnest and sensible would be interesting.

Didn't Nature intend blogs to roam freely in the wild, like Elsa the orphaned cub lioness?

And now with everyone wanting a blog, there's the growing problem of "blog mills" and their horrific consequences -- blogs with hip dysplasia, for example, or weak kidneys.

I'm sure blog ownership is very helpful and comforting for shut-ins and other people who have difficulty getting outside to make friends. The bond between a blog and its owner is every bit as real and rewarding as any other kind of relationship.

But is this really fair to blogs?
