But Plan B; really good music mag/excellent but mostly prog rock BUT they do really cool features and it's very cutting edge but still with strong articles..

I went to a magazine convention last year which was like being in heaven sigh, it's called colophon...if you google and go to the index, you will see a list of 1000's of really cool mags from around the world, you can type in what you are looking for and you'll get the URL etc...

Elle is actually not terrible in as far as women's magazines go since they do decent book reviews, profile up-and-coming designers and their music reviews are hopelessly corny.

actually, all this magazine talk is interesting because i want to subscribe to an interesting mag that combines fashion, music, photography, etc. and i'm stuck. some of my past mistakes have included Rolling Stone, Seventeen,, and as of july 2008 NYLON. recently, i've enjoyed the layouts and or stories at fringe magazines like Fader, Wonderland, Another Magazine but they come out too infrequent for my taste. any suggestions?

From what I can tell, it employs young female angst and the attendant rage as its primary method toward this goal. From my perusal of Missbehave, it appears to be a publication bent on furthering the cause of women by guiding them on how to celebrate their womanness; to capitalize on their femininity. No it's not. It's terrible. It's for 18-22 year olds, the graphics are ridic and the grammar is one step above txt-speak. The fashion spreads are the worst. I'm surprized it's still operating, it's so poorly organized and held together, not to mention started by the editor's girlfriend from Complex who had no editorial experience (and it shows....). It's great if you're a white girl who wants to be more "urban".
