There's one more thing: in this day and age, artists, especially those with large audiences, have a moral fucking obligation to speak up for what they believe in. I really have no use for people who have strong personal beliefs they keep to themselves in order to avoid alienating potential album buyers (or redneck dumbass radio executives at Clear Channel).

We're in the dying days of what used to be a pretty bold experiement in self-rule. It's no time to be silent.
