These are the bottles people claimed had high concentrations of wormwood in them. They found only small concentrations of thujone (the chemical in wormwood) in the older bottles, about the same amount that's in modern bottles.

They also said they found no other explanation for the strange effects of absinthe. All in the head perhaps?
