This reminds me of email in the mid-90s. I waited 3 days for an email reply from a girl I had met and fooled around with the weekend before, then I sent a second "fine don't reply, whatever"-type email. She replied the next day in a bit of a nasty tone, explaining that she didn't check her email very often. Game over.
