"tim and eric nite live" for superdeluxe was spotty, but often spot on. who else would start a show, smeared in chocolate, singing how much they love chocloate over closing credits, thanking yo la tengo and then starting a writer's meeting? the cold opening as a cold closing! genius, as they are both, transforming non-punchline comedy to the condition of conceptuial art.
