In a fit of fury that someone would bring alcohol to the room of a recovering alcoholic, she sent the case of beer and me flying down a flight of stairs. I was unhurt, but scared shitless.

She later called and apologized profusely, thinking it was one of her old Austin drinking buddies who sent me up with the beer. She came down to the kitchen to check on me to make sure I was okay. She also got me a room for the weekend at the Stephen F Austin Hotel, where I took a four hour bath.
