Umm, I'm kind of reeling with the rest of you on this Maggie news. Her Viacom coverage convinced me Gawker could be both "decadent" (to quote an ex Gawkerite) and serious at the same time. I'm sorry I did not get to meet you Maggie, I very much admired your reporting.

Sid was cranky and bitchy, but he secretly loved everyone on Gawker, Wonkette and Valleywag. Even Pareene, who he made fun of, and Layne, who almost kicked him off, and Denton, who he tried to be cruel to, unsuccessfuly.

He also wasn't half as clever as most of you guys, who I find terrifying, brilliant and infuriating depending on the exact time of day.
