if jezebel is meant to be a safe and empowering female zone where you don't have to take it, then fine but tone down the dish.

if it's meant to be a site where you can let your inner bitch fly, then that's fine too, but don't act all pissed when others call out your odious behaviour.

Yes, the comments were too earnest for my taste. And they seemed easily confused by irony and thus easily offended.

But the bigger problem for me was with the actual content. I didn't find it all that smart or witty. That was the main problem.

A more minor issue is that I also didn't like the attitude that being rude and crass is somehow rebellious. "I'm peeing in public! I'm getting drunk! That's feminist!" It isn't that I'm offended by that kind of stuff. I just think it is rather stupid and boring. (So I'm not their target audience. I'm an old. And I'm an intellectual snob.)

I'm just stating my opinion of the site, which is negative. It isn't anything that makes me angry. There are things in the world I can get angry about. A blog that I don't find interesting? I can let that one go.
