On Friday, we posted a bothersome pitch for a gossip item, courtesy of a flack at Rubenstein PR: according to the publicist, black Tennessee Congressman Harold Ford Jr. was a "sell-out" after being spotted kissing and holding hands with a white woman at "hot" Meatpacking district restaurant Sascha. People were "upset" by the "jungle fever," which only worsened when the pair were later joined by another interracial couple at the Gansevoort. Well then.

Apparently this information was meant to be an incredibly misguided pitch for the restaurant Sascha, which is repped by Rubenstein PR. More specifically, the author of this racially skewed rant was Rubenstein's Lori Brown, who was canned this morning. That's too bad — maybe she can get a job at Denny's.
