An Indiana woman who named her hunting dog “Trigger” was injured when the chocolate Labrador retriever blew her damn foot to hell with a shotgun, reports The Guardian. Bad dog!

Indiana conservation officer Jonathon Boyd says 25-year-old Allie Carter laid her 12-gauge shotgun on the ground without the safety on during a waterfowl hunt Saturday at Tri-County Fish and Wildlife Area.

Boyd says Carter’s chocolate Labrador retriever, Trigger, stepped on top of the shotgun and depressed the trigger.

Trigger got her left foot at point blank range with a 12-gauge shotgun. This is a dog with a cruel sense of humor, possibly also in need of a firm talking-to on the importance of gun safety.
