The Saudi royals are not like you and me: they’re rich as hell and drama seems to follow them wherever they go, so maybe in a sense maybe they’re more like you and me than we ever realized. But this week that nebulous cloud of drama hanging overhead took a dark turn, as a prince accused of rape vanished into thin air.
That prince—29-year-old Majed Abdulaziz Al-Saud—was arrested last week after neighbors reportedly spotted a bleeding woman trying to escape his $37 million Beverly Hills compound.
He’s not here for the right reasons, one could argue, assuming the right reasons are “not forcing oral sex on an unwilling employee, allegedly.”
Speaking to Mail Online, neighbors say they believe the prince has already fled the country on a private jet, leaving his rented house behind.
One woman, who would only give her name as Isabel, said: ‘Numerous cars were coming in and out of the property late Thursday, and it looked like the Prince was moving out.’
Meanwhile another neighbor, Eric Stiskin, added: ‘I am sure he has taken off on his private jet by now. I don’t think he even needs a passport to get out of here.’
Is the jet fueled by drama? Will Al-Saud make it back to Los Angeles in time for his Oct. 19 court date? Are the answers to both those questions no? Only one person knows, and he’s not doing interviews right now.
