He's not always your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

An individual dressed as Spider-Man stole $6000 from an employee of a tourism company on Hollywood Boulevard Friday, and the LAPD is on the lookout for the culprit (who could be on a wall, swinging past them, or hanging above them — really, it's going to be a tough investigation).

Police have been questioning other Spiderman impersonators who were close to the site of the robbery, which was near the Grauman's Chinese Theatre. NBC reports that other impersonators, including Superman and Catwoman, have agreed to help search for the thief.

The sightseeing company, Starline Tours, operates tours of celebrity homes and famous LA locations. Why the employee was carrying $6000 in cash is still a mystery. Expect further updates on the story on our partner site, the Daily Bugle.
