A group of six Indonesian men were attacked by several tigers on Thursday, forcing five of the men to climb a tree, where they've remained since. The sixth man was mauled to death as he attempted to join his partners in the tree. Help for the trapped men reportedly won't arrive until sometime Wednesday.
A 7.6-magnitude earthquake has hit off the coast of the Philippines, triggering tsunami warnings in Indonesia and Belau.

"I got rid of the Hawaiian shirts because I looked at pictures of some of the previous APEC meetings," he explained, "and... I thought this may be a tradition that we might want to break." The War on Fun never ends with this guy. Fortunately, his hosts at his latest stop in Bali have forced him to wear a silly shirt anyway.
Proof positive that the internet is still just one big repository for cat videos: WWF Indonesia released this one of a Sumatran tiger and her cubs taken over a two month span on the island of Sumatra. The forest where the tigers were recorded is set to be destroyed to build plantations. There are thought to be around 400 Sumatran tigers left — down from 1,000 in the 1970s.
