I was in Italy for the last couple weeks, and I saw a lot of fine art. But it was all basically bullshit compared to the Fine Art of John McNaughton, painter and patriot, whose newest masterpiece "The Empowered Man" welcomes me home like a bald eagle with the head of the Statue of Liberty, whistling the solo from "Hotel California" and embracing me between its powerful, masculine wings.
On tonight's Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert examined the work of one Jon McNaughton who has quickly become the right's favorite artist. With paintings that feature President Obama burning and stepping on the Constitution, it's clear to see why they love him. The artist's claim that his work is filled with subtlety and deep meaning is a little less clear.
Behold, "One Nation Under Socialism," a new masterpiece from America's Da Vinci, Jon McNaughton. (Previously best known for that one painting of Obama stepping on the constitution.) With it, McNaughton carries on in the tradition of some the 20th century's finest figurative artists. Buy two — one for now, and one to trade when Nobama hands control of the country over to the Black Panthers. [Jon McNaughton]
